Former Chelsea midfielder Jody Morris believes new Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim will have a tough job to bring Marcus Rashford back to life.
The Portuguese coach will take over at Old Trafford during the international break after the English giants paid Sporting Lisbon a compensation package to bring him in as their new manager.UFABET
Speaking to Rio Ferdinand, Morris said Rashford’s effort was not comparable to Saka’s and expressed concern that even Amorim could not replicate his best form.
“You have to have players who want to rebuild themselves. Arsenal are very good at that – Saka was excellent. Martinelli as well.” Morris said.
“If you compare Saka and Rashford and what they both do for the team – Saka is on another planet. Rashford doesn’t run around like Saka and he’s not as good against full-backs as Saka.”
“Saka is still good in attack, they are worlds apart now. That’s one of the problems we all see when we watch Rashford play. He’s got a lot of talent, he’s great when he shows it. But he doesn’t do it consistently.”
Marcus Rashford’s omission from Manchester United’s squad sparked lots of debate from the fanbase and pundits.
The England international was left out of Ruben Amorim’s matchday squad along with Alejandro Garnacho. United went on to win the game 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium after Josko Gvardiol’s header in the first-half.
